jaxon & grayson were over this morning and it was gorgeous outside so we spent the morning outside playing & waiting on endeavour {yes, the space shuttle} to fly over piggybacking the NASA 747. the kids had so much fun and I don’t think they were prepared for what flew past THREE times! we are lucky and live right by JSC so we got the special treatment. the pics aren’t the greatest because I was trying to get all of the kiddos to see the shuttle at the same time I was trying to get pics but it was well worth it! e was still talking about it when bri got home from work!
how we wait…
grayson’s view…
the crew…
looking out from the fort. I was told it was a better view
watching for the next pass…
”there it is!”
here’s a video of it flying by. this is one of the later passes when they were a little further away but it was still fun! please ignore the annoying mommy voice going along with it
once the shuttle had flown over most of houston, they landed at ellington. when brian got off of work, we headed that way so that we could see it up close & personal one more time. it’s not the first time we’ve watched a shuttle piggyback and fly over our area but this will be the last. we decided to make the most of it so we headed out and gladly fought the traffic to get a glimpse of history.
as a small sidenote, this is the same shuttle that evan watched launch {through closed eyelids} when he was 9 months old so it held a special place for us!
and pics from today…
and some pics to remember since it will never happen again…crazy how small this makes the shuttle look!!
love, love being a NASA family!!
