easter.

we had an amazing easter celebrating the amazing gift we were given so many years ago! we had a day full of family & fun!

we woke up and gave the kiddos their easter baskets from us.

we headed to church with nanny & vanpa and then came home to have a family easter lunch…

then cc got here with more easter baskets…

apparently the legos required multiple adult helpers

then aunt barbie, marcie, & kelcie got here with even more easter baskets…


then aunt ashley & uncle mike came over with a little easter gift…

& then the easter bunny came and we had an egg hunt!!

& then it was naptime

and playtime…

later that night, we had a few rainshowers. rylea was being a chicken dog and this is where she put herself. I swear she thinks she weighs 5 lbs. I can assure you it is WAY more than that!!

nanny & vanpa’s new house.

this was the kiddos first trip to nanny & vanpa’s new house after the official move in. to say they had fun is an understatement!

every time we had gone over there before {when it was completely empty}, we had told them that all of their toys {and there are A LOT!} would be upstairs in the game room. so far, their favorite activity was just to run in circles up there in the empty space. this time, not only was there space but also TOYS!! the kids were in heaven and we didn’t hear a peep from them for long stretches of time. this totally helped us out since there was definitely some unpacking to get done!

after awhile, we headed into the backyard and the kiddos asked if they could put their feet in the pool…which led to them playing on the ledges…which led to their shorts getting wet…which led to them taking off their clothes…which led to almost all out swimming…in a freezing cold pool!! crazy kids!

how it started…

after some pizza out by the pool, we heated up the hot tub, actually put them in swimsuits {and put e’s earplugs in}, and let them “swim” in there. I ended up getting soaked and had no extra clothes but they had a blast!

I see many fun nights swimming and playing! lucky kiddos have places to swim at both grandparent’s houses!

zoo with tenley.

we jumped at the chance to get back to the zoo {this weather has put a kink in our normal zoo routine!} with tenley!

we got there early {as always} since we figured it would be busy because of good friday. the littles had so much fun showing miss tenley some of their favorite things!

after some zoo fun, we headed to the pond/lake to eat our picnic…
