laura @ studio bloom photography took evan’s 6 month pics {she also did his amazing newborn pics!!} and brought the prints & my CD of all of his pics to me today at work – too sweet!!! we love her & she does such a great job!

we had so much fun being off with the little guy. here are some pics of our little cutie!
evan had a hawaiian fruit dessert one night as part of his dinner. brian noticed that everytime he put it in his mouth, he was making a fish face – must have been tart! i grabbed the camera to capture it and of course it took awhile before he would do it again…
evan also learned how to scoot – backwards – over the holiday. he was really excited when he first did it until he realized it got him further from his toys…oops!!
christmas eve, we met up with my parents and little bro in pearland for lunch. little man was in fine form keeping everyone entertained!
he even had his first taste of a truly solid food – puffs!
we then went home and hung out until it was time to go over to aunt barbie’s house. for some reason, we didn’t take any pics while we were there but we had fun hanging out and playing a little wii. we headed home around 10ish just in time to meet nanny, vanpa, and uncle james. e was out by this point so we all relaxed and stayed up way past our bedtime :)
christmas morning, we all got up {gradually:) } and e opened his pressies from santa. he took his sweet time and in true baby fashion, was way more interested in the paper than the toys!
rylea & addie also opened their pressies from santa…
after e finished opening his santa pressies, we opened my family pressies. at this point, i think evan was completely overwhelmed!!
then cc and aunt ashley came over so evan opened even more pressies…
then it was lunch time for evan. what better time to have meat for the first time?!?! e had some turkey and sweet potatoes!
we finally got evan dressed {notice i didn’t say we got dressed:) }
and slowly all the adult people got dressed {and napped} as well…
& then the miller family came over and we ate christmas dinner and then opened even more pressies…
we ended up hanging out for awhile watching a movie and just chatting…we had a great time and loved spending time with all of our family!

evan turned 6 months old at the beginning of december but between christmas, rsv, and everything else going on, i never got around to posting his updates :) at his 6 month appt {which had to be delayed due to his rsv}, evan weighed 22 lbs and was 28 inches long…an average 10 month old according to his doctor – awesome!!

we didn’t get around to taking the official 6 month picture either. we have his professional 6 month shots so they will have to do :)
last weekend, we headed to arkansas for our christmas celebration with my family there. it was a last minute decision because of e’s rsv but he was feeling much better so we decided to go for it! boy, are we glad we did! it was a quick trip but e got to experience opening presents for the first time. in typical little kid fashion, he was loving ripping the paper and somewhat paid attention to the toys. once we got home, he put all of those fun toys to good use!! thank you for all of his fun gifts!!
