we have had banana trees in our backyard forever but they have only started producing bananas recently. the first few times we had bananas, we waited too long for them to ripen on the tree and they were ruined when it froze. this year, we decided to let them grow until they got to a decent size and then we would cut them off and try to get them to ripen off of the tree. tonight was the night and we definitely underestimated how many we had!! bananas!!
