we had another fun halloween with family!! everyone came over for dinner and then we costumed up for trick or treating! the kiddos made it around the entire circle of our neighborhood…walking!!! we had an extra bag in case their bags got too heavy but neither trusted us to hold on to their candy

I definitely think we got our moneys worth out of the costumes this year!!!
tonight was the members halloween party at the children’s museum and it was a blast!! after meeting up with cc, we headed out and got there around 630.
the kiddos were ready to go! after creating a “terrible noise” maker, we ventured out and played. they had random candy stations throughout as well as a live pumpkin patch, dance party, and GREAT decorations!! I think we finally got home around 9 with two very pooped kids {and parents!}
we headed up to katy tonight for trunk or treat at my parent’s church {which was also my church growing up and the church where brian & I were married}. mum is leaving for england tomorrow and it gave her a chance to see them one more time. we also figured they would have a ball and would love any excuse to put their costumes on. it didn’t disappoint!
we headed to our favourite, victors, for fajitas beforehand and they had a full sized playground for the munchkins to play on! perfect!!
we then headed to st. peters and got dressed in the parking lot
we weren’t sure how aj would do with the whole trick or treat thing but she figured it out pretty quickly!

brian had to work late tonight so I thought an evening trip to the zoo was in order
we had such a great time! the weather was amazing and the animals were out enjoying it. there weren’t many people there either {there aren’t usually when we go during the week in the morning either but it was especially empty this particular night}.

we headed over to the elephants and three of them {including the youngest} were chowing down on some hay right by the fence so we stopped to watch. in the middle of eating, the baby decided it was naptime so just like any newborn, she laid down right where she was and fell asleep. it was really cute!

shortly after this, e was standing near the picture giraffe while avery was climbing on it and he started screaming and shaking. something had stung him on his hand and it looked like it was something with a stinger. a nice zoo first aid guy brought over something that took the sting away and our tough guy was on his way again {actually we were on our way out of the zoo because it was closing but whatever
