seven months.

you got that right…seven whole months!!!

no idea on height and weight but i feel like she’s gotten a lot bigger the last month!

avery is:

• still wearing a size 3 diaper. not sure if she could move up but these are working just great for now so 3s it is!
• still holding on to the 9 and 12 month clothes. i’ve found that girls clothing seems to be a little more flexible since a lot of it is dresses and bloomers. even if she gets kind of tall, it will still fit.
• eating great!! she has 2nds fruit for breakfast, a fruit and veggie for lunch, and a fruit and veggie for dinner. she also has to have some kind of solid with her meal like melts or puffs. i’ve also recently started giving her mum mums and she loves those!! on our trip to the river, she had a chick-fil-a nugget and has had some chicken here and there since then. maybe we can just go straight to table food :)
• drinking decently well. i tried to wean her just after her 6 month day but formula seems to really mess with her. we have been using the sensitive and it has helped but i’m still giving her breastmilk bottles as well. unfortunately, i thought i was weaning her and my supply dropped big time. i have been trying to build it back up but it’s been a struggle. luckily she isn’t drinking a whole lot. she will have a little bottle after breakfast, a few ounces before her 930 or 10am nap, a little when she wakes up, a few ounces about an hour after lunch, a few ounces about 4 or 5, and then formula just before bed. she is also getting up in the middle of the night once to have a bottle. see below.
• still not sleeping through the night. we have been out of town and staying in hotels and you can’t really let them cry there so when we get back from san antonio this weekend, it is time for operation mean mummy. i’m really dreading it but i know she can sleep through the night – she just isn’t.
• getting into a bit of a schedule – just in time for me to go back to work :( she wakes up somewhere between 6 and 715. we eat breakfast shortly after and then play until about 930 or 1030 depending on when she got up. she takes a half hourish nap and then plays until about 1130 when we eat lunch. after lunch, we play some more and she then goes down for her longer nap somewhere between 1 and 130. this nap usually lasts anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours. we eat dinner about 6ish and then we are up playing until bathtime around 715 or 730ish. we try to have them both in bed by 8. here’s hoping she’ll keep this schedule when she starts daycare but i’m not holding my breath!
• sporting her two bottom teeth!!! she got them about a week apart from each other and it has made her a bit fussy but she’s really not that bad considering she never fussed before this.
• moving like crazy in her bed! we never had this problem with evan since he couldn’t roll :) she is going down on her belly because if not, she will roll herself into the side of the crib and then cry because it wakes her up.
• still loving her toys!
• having a bit of a mummy complex. it started one night when brian was giving her her bottle before bed. i had already put e down and i was cleaning up toys, etc. i walked across the room and into our bedroom and the second i disappeared, she got a pouty lip and then screamed bloody murder. she was fine as soon as i came back and held her - little stinker!! she will go so far as to reach for me if i’m not holding her. daycare ought to be a bit of an adjustment although she does fine when she goes to the church nursery so who knows!
• getting frustrated because she can’t crawl. if she would just get her knees under her, she would be off!
• constantly jabbering. her newest thing is to start snorting when she gets excited. goofy child!!
• sitting up really well but we still have to put something around her just in case. she will flop herself over if there’s something she wants and can’t reach.
• so incredibly sweet and i’m loving my time at home with her. it is going to hurt this mummy’s heart so much to have to go back to work :(
