this morning we headed to california adventure. cars land is the newest attraction so we wanted to hit it during the week to try and avoid at least some of the crowds. we stopped at a gas station to blow up the stroller tires and had a front tire blowout so poor brian had to run back to the house where, thankfully, the owner had a few strollers to use.
once brian caught back up to us, we headed in to get fast passes for world of color {the water show at night} and radiator springs racers. while we were waiting in line, brian & cc took the kiddos to see the camp wilderness attraction where they got to meet dug the dog from the movie “up”. e hadn’t quite warmed up to the characters yet but brian got him to laugh by mentioning tennis balls {he started panting} & squirrels {he started looking around like a crazy dog}…
next up was cars land! the kiddos were soooo excited!!

luigi’s flying tires was going to be our first ride but it broke 
instead mater’s yard jamboree was our first ride and the kiddos seemed to love it. they did an amazing job of standing in a decent line while it was hot and getting close to lunch time. once we got to the front, each munchkin picked who they wanted to ride with – avery wanted nanny & liz while evan chose daddy & vanpa. then there was the adult car of cc, james, and me – a little squished!
lunch time was up next & I was loving the fact that it wasn’t your typical theme park food!
disney live was next up and we were 2nd in line!!! everyone did a little exploring while I sat in line {the break was nice!}

so did aj! she even gave jake a “yo ho ho!” or two
at this point, e had hit a bit of a wall but miss thing was getting her second wind and this show was PERFECT for her!
the best part of the show was when all of the mickey mouse clubhouse characters popped up. avery popped up, threw her hands in the air and yelled “they’re all here!!!!”
that alone was worth the trip!!

after the show, we headed into an air conditioned {
for whatever reason, stitch was the only character that freaked avery out {but she loves the movie, lilo & stitch} – who knows!
daddy & avery had an impromptu dance session at the request of the princess
our fast pass time for radiator springs racers came up but when we got there, it was out of order {apparently we were having this effect on the rides
instead, we hit up bugs land, took pics with mater, rode luigi’s flying tires, and then got on radiator spring’s racers {once it was fixed
miss thing finally tuckered out after nanny & vanpa bought her an “aci”. vanpa took first shift & then cc took over while we rode radiator springs racers…

then it was parade time…
they really did enjoy the parade…this was just kind of their down time
back to bugs land so miss aj could ride some rides…
we didn’t realize that we had to be in line so early for the world of color fast pass so we quickly grabbed dinner and then headed back to get in line for prime spots. while we were walking, we grabbed a shot of cars land at night…so fun!
the world of color show was amazing but we were really pushing the kiddos at this point! the show started at 930 and they made it through…but barely
ummm, yeah…and avery was asleep but we had to carry her…darn borrowed stroller didn’t have a place for two to sleep likes ours does…bummer!!
so much fun today!! can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings at disneyland!!
