the kiddos had easter festivities at school today. i hung out with them in the morning for their easter egg hunt {which could have been a mistake since there were minor melt downs when i left to go back to work}. i stopped in e’s room first and was waiting for their egg hunt to start when avery spotted me {her room is connected to evan’s by the diaper changing/restroom area}. she immediately started screaming because she couldn’t get to me but was fine as soon as i had her. evan had fun hunting the two easter eggs that he managed to get before bashing his head on the backpack rack :( poor buddy spent the rest of the time on my lap crying.

avery’s easter egg hunt didn’t go much better. they put a few eggs down for her to find and she wanted nothing to do with them. she just wanted me to hold her. eventually she warmed up to the idea as long as i was right beside her. here are the pics her teachers took…
when i left, they both completely melted down…big time mommy guilt!
that afternoon, their classes had an easter party. really, it’s just a special snack time but whatever:) avery was already done when i got there so we watched bubba enjoy his party food…
