mum is turning 60 in april and for the longest time, we have been planning a small:) surprise for her. bobby, anna, joe, and ben, anna’s boyfriend, flew in this afternoon and james picked them up. we claimed that we were going out for james’ birthday down here but really, we were surprising mum!
after the week bobby & mum have had with losing their dad, it was perfect that we would not only surprise mum but also have the sister’s together during one of the most difficult times for them. to say we had conflicting emotions was an understatement – extreme sadness because of losing grandpa but extreme excitement at surprising mum and seeing each other.
