soccer season openers.

opening day was today and we had 2 games to attend! this is avery’s first season to play and she asked her daddy if he was going to coach her team like he coaches evan’s. how could he say no?!?! so not only do we have 2 kids on 2 teams, but brian is also coaching both teams  
add that to aggie football games and we’ve got a crazy fall ahead but we don’t sit still well anyway so here goes!!!

I am also assistant coaching both teams and was only able to take pictures during the practice half of avery’s team so I didn’t catch any action shots of little man :/

aj decided to get her ears pierced.

for a long time, we have asked avery if she wants to get her ears pierced and we get an emphatic “No!” followed by “it hurts!” when asked why not. her answer was so funny that we would ask just to hear it! I knew that one day she might call our bluff and this morning was just that day! we were on our way to school and I randomly asked her if she would like to get her ears pierced. after a slight pause, she said, “ YES!” followed by “Right now!” After convincing her that the piercing place wasn’t open yet and that she’d have to wait until after school and after the boys were home, she headed in to school.

I called brian to let him know and we figured that by the time she got out of school, she would probably change her mind. never underestimate that little girl when she has her mind set on something! the first thing she said when we got in my car after school was “Are we going to get my ears pierced now??” After picking up bubba from school and after daddy got off of work, we headed to the mall to find a piercing place with two workers who could do both ears at once {we were not leaving with one piercing!}. Luckily the first place we went was able to do it and were really great with her!

avery’s first day of preschool :: 3 year olds.

little miss started her second year at happy harbour today! she is in the sea turtle class and her amazing teachers are ms. dee & ms. tracie. mommy may have handpicked her teachers to ensure they were willing to stand up to miss thing! she was beyond excited to have her own first day after watching all of the hype behind bubba’s first day of kindergarten we can’t wait to see what all she will learn this year and are so thankful to have such a great school to start our munchkins at!
