santa visited evan’s school yesterday {and i didn’t get any pics since i wasn’t there :( }, so i put him in a onesie i had made on etsy – super cute!! brian gets him dressed every morning for school and he wasn’t dressed when i left for work. as i walked into the office, i got a pic message of e in his christmas onesie sitting in front of the christmas tree – made this mummy’s day!!! my honey is amazing and it was too sweet of him to think of doing that!!
it’s official…evan is a sitter!! he has been close for a LONG time but is now able to sit for extended periods of time all by himself!! we can’t believe how big he’s getting :) we worked on sitting over thanksgiving and he was doing pretty well but we weren’t sure how that would carry over to daycare. on monday when we picked him up, his teachers were so excited to tell us he was sitting up…love it!!
this leads to bath time. he has a seat thing we’ve been using. after we were done giving him his bath, i took him out of his seat and sat him in the tub and he loved it!! he sat there and splashed for a good 10 minutes. lucky mummy was in the splash zone and ended up soaked!

since we were in college station on thursday, we decided to have thanksgiving dinner on friday. we headed over to barbie’s house for dinner. everything was super yummy and we had a great time with the family!!!
and we ended the weekend with a little fun on the floor at home with the puppies…
while evan, rylea, & addie stayed with my parents, we headed up to college station to watch our aggies take on the longhorns. we weren’t expecting much as far as a football game but the boys surprised us and gave us quite a game!! we can’t wait to see how they do next year!!
when we got there, we headed over to the bonfire memorial …
before the game, we tailgated with brian’s mom, ashley, sam, and the becks. we had some yummy barbecue baked potatoes and lots of desserts :)
evan spent the next part of his first thanksgiving at home with me while brian was at work. we ended up going back to the doctor on tuesday morning because evan wouldn’t stop crying – very strange!! the doctor ended up taking him off of the augmentin that he had been prescribed for his ear infection. it was tearing up his stomach and causing him to scream! we also started to add probiotics to e’s cereal to build up the bacteria level in his stomach and coat his little tummy a bit. this seemed to work. the next morning, i had my happy baby back for the most part.
wednesday, we ran some errands and then had our family pictures/evan’s 6 month pictures that afternoon. he did great and i can’t wait to see them. there was a minor mishap when we sat e at the roots of a tree. he reached for a leaf and lost his balance. he banged his head against a root and the tears were flowing. unfortunately this was at the beginning of the shoot. luckily he recovered and we hope we got some great pictures! we can’t wait to see them!!

we headed up to arkansas the weekend before thanksgiving to celebrate with my dad’s side of the family. evan also had a chance to meet his great-great-grandma, ma mae!! 5 whole generations together – pretty impressive!! we had a great time seeing everyone. uncle james even made an appearance with emily!!
