life is starting to get back into a "normal" routine. the day after i got back from england, i started my new job at a new high school and it has been busy since! getting used to getting up early is never fun but the jet lag actually played in my favor on that one.

since i've gotten back, i've gotten to spend lots of time with brian & the girls watching the olympics. it's one of our favourite times but it also means lots of lost sleep - for some reason, they keep putting volleyball late at night. as brian says, it only happens once every 4 years (technically two but we only get volleyball once every four).

other than that, it's been life as usual in the crisp house. our two weimie babies love to snuggle and we think it's soooo fun so on any given night, this is the scene you will probably find in our house:

it's a rough life addie has found herself in :) she's obviously had a hard time adapting to life around our house ;) we are so lucky to have gotten such a great dog that is so well adjusted & sweet! we love our ryleaquinn & addison savannah :)

finally home.

mum & i got back monday (we were both not looking forward to getting back because we had to go back to work on tuesday:( ). it was soooo nice to be home but it was great getting to see all the family! instead of posting my pictures on here (there are ALOT), they're all on my picture site - link on the left.

it's back to work for me. it's hard but at least i don't have classes this year which is a definite bonus. i miss summer already and i'm on day 2 of work :)

football season (aTm) starts in two and a half weeks and i can't wait!!

that's all for now - i've still got a little jet lag so it's hard to put together too many thoughts...

hi from london.

so i've up & left brian at home with our two little girls :) i'm in london right now visiting my family and having fun. life at our house was fun before i left. having 4 dogs in the house definitely was an experience - especially with a grumpy pound puppy (my parent's dog, baley)! when my parent's two dogs went home, our house seemed very peaceful - even with the new addition to our family. having addie has definitely made our lives easier. they keep each other company and wear each other out. we can take them on walks when it cool off at night instead of in the heat of the day. we are loving it!! i'll have to post pictures of them soon!
so back to london. mum & i are over here for my cousin's wedding as well as to help my grandpa sort his flat out before moving to a new one. so far we are having a great time!! here are a few pics in the garden to enjoy...

addison savannah.

we picked up the newest member of our family on the way home from new braunfels today. we decided to name her addison savannah and call her addie. we liked savannah but thought it was a mouthful when you are trying to call two goofy weims. rylea and addie seemed a lot easier. they have played like crazy since we got home and seem to be attached at the hip already. we even had wrestling matches on the bed brought on by their daddy. they are so cute!

some pictures of rylea & addie (addie's the dark one :))

to add to the madness, my parents are going out of town and brought their two dogs down for us to watch until sunday. just call us the crispy kennel! it actually hasn't been bad. our two pair up while peaches and baley sit back and watch. maybe i've found a new calling :) i'm sure we will have plenty of stories while we run our little kennel.

floating the river.

we just got back from floating the comal. it is a yearly vacation with the crispy's and is soooo relaxing! not a lot of pictures since taking my new camera on the river is not high on my list of things to do but i did get some fun pictures in gruene last night. i got to eat at grist mill where they have the world's best "gruene" beans. so yummy!!

addition to our family.

for everyone that hasn't heard already (not really sure how the word got out but oh well - so much for surprises:)), we are adopting a sister for rylea. her foster name is savannah (we may be changing it) and she is a young weim. the vet that she is seeing now estimated her at 3 but we all think she is younger - we will see what our vet thinks when she visits him for the first time. she is very similar in build to rylea. savannah is a blue weim which means that she is a slate colour.

we don't know what her story is but her foster parents, jim & carol, picked her up from a shelter in houston and she was extremely underweight. to give you an idea, rylea weighs 65 pounds and savannah weighed 49 pounds after a week of heavy eating to try to get her weight up. she is now up to 53 pounds and is looking so much better!

we all went to meet her - rylea included - at her foster parents house. strangely enough, her foster dad taught at my junior high - random i know!! rylea is very submissive and we wanted to make sure that whatever dog we adopted didn't come in and bully her. that was quickly addressed. after playing for awhile, rylea had had enough and told savannah off. we were shocked as we had never seen her do this before but it was a great thing to see. savannah was fine with it and went off on her own for awhile until rylea showed her she was ready to play again.

as we left, savannah tried to climb the fence to get to us - carol said she even had her back paws off the ground trying to come with us. so cute!!!

we were also worried how she would do with kids. jim & carol have grandkids that came to visit. one is 2 and savannah was extremely calm and gentle with him which was exactly what we wanted.

the reason we don't have her right now is that she was just starting her heartworm treatment. the good news is that she didn't have a bad case but that did mean that we had to wait a while to get her. we should be picking her up in the middle of next week and are really excited! we just hope we can decide on a name before then :)
