more painting.

this afternoon, we did a little painting pull up style :) i had told e we would paint as soon as he got up from his nap. sure enough, i got him out of bed and as i was carrying him to the living room, he said “painting pwease.” so sweet!!!

since miss aj decided to wake up from her nap early, i plopped her in her high chair with some toys and got e set up at the breakfast room table. he had a blast and did a great job!! he only painted himself a few times and immediately told me he was “diwty” and needed a “wipey” to clean himself off. he was very focused and kept his tongue out almost the entire time. goofy kid!!

 

pre deployment weekend in san antonio.

this past weekend, we headed to san antonio to meet up with uncle james who flew in from california. he will be deploying this week and we wanted to spend one last weekend with him before he spent 7 months playing fighter pilot:) we stayed at la cantera in north san antonio and it did not disappoint!! we swam, ate, swam, slept, and swam some more…

we even got to make s’mores!

 

and we went on the slide A LOT!

 

we headed to gruene for lunch on sunday at the gristmill.

such a fun weekend!! we will miss you uncle james! be careful & we can’t wait to see you when you get back…love you!!

no more acis.

evan has been using an “aci” only while sleeping for quite a while now. we had debated on when to get rid of them completely but hadn’t really decided on a time mainly because there are still pacifiers in our house because of avery {she really doesn’t like them but they’re here anyway}. when we got home from the river, it was bedtime so we put e in bed without the pacis simply because they were still in the car. he went to sleep immediately so we left them out of his crib. for nap the next day, we decided to see what happened without them and once again, he went to sleep almost immediately. this has continued on since then to the point that we are fairly confident in declaring this house “aci” free :) evan has even picked up one of avery’s pacis and handed it to her without trying to put it in his mouth. definitely easier than we thought it would be!! what a big boy!!

i had evan paint on canvases to decorate my office. he had a blast!!

baptism dress.

evan & avery were baptised at the beginning of june but i am just now getting around to taking a picture of her in her dress. this dress is incredibly special because my nanny made it for mum {avery’s nanny} when she was christened in england. avery only sort of cooperated with me but at least we’ve got some pictures of this gorgeous dress!!

first two teeth.

avery has had these teeth for a few weeks now but i couldn’t get a picture of them until now!!
