cbhs homecoming parade.

last night, we took evan to the cbhs homecoming parade and he loved it!!  we met up with friends before the parade so the kids could play on the playground {our school runs a little preschool for kids and our students get to learn what it’s like to teach little ones so we have a playground just outside the school} and then we took our spot on the curb to watch.  rain was threatening but managed to hold out until the last float - evan thought that running through the rain was super fun too!

daddy chase.

the video speaks for itself & melts my heart.  i love my boys!

scary frog.

a few months ago, we discovered that evan wasn’t really a fan of anything that vibrated.  we were playing with one of his old infant seat hanging toys and he would throw it when it started to move.  cc also has a giggling bert {i think – i get bert and ernie mixed up!} doll that evan would also throw when it would start vibrating.  we never managed to catch it on video but finally did the other day with one of his toys.  poor kid just doesn’t like it!

big boy playground.

each weekend that aTm plays football at home, evan goes and spends saturday with my parents and we stay there sat night and head home after lunch sunday.  this sunday, nanny decided she wanted to take e to the playground at the elementary school by their house {and where i went to school}.  we walked up there and little e took off.  i think we’re in trouble when he can play and climb all by himself {don’t tell him he can’t do that yet :)}…

we have a walker – sort of.

evan officially started taking more than one or two steps last week – finally!!  the kid just has no interest and might be the fastest crawler i’ve ever seen so he sees no point in walking!  two weeks ago, he started really standing up from sitting {he’s been pulling up since he was little} and just hanging out in the middle of the floor but last week, he decided to walk!!  it’s still only about 5 or 6 feet at most and he’s usually a little wobbly but he’s at least showing more interest in it!  he can walk all day behind one of his 14 cars or holding on to your hand so i’m sure it’s only a matter of time!

here’s some video of him walking – sorry it’s so bouncy.  poor brian was trying to get him walking and also make sure he didn’t face plant :)

please excuse the goofy talking & outfit – i tend to go straight for the pjs when i get home from work.  this little girl in my belly is starting to take up a little more room than i had bargained for :)

labor day weekend.

last weekend, evan and i headed to arkansas with my parents to visit the family.  it was a quick trip but we had a great time!!  evan was exhausted from entertaining everyone :)

kemah fountain.

we forget about how fun the fountains at kemah are because they are so close {and most of the time, that place is nuts!!}.  sunday night, we headed down the street to kemah to meet up with some friends for fountain fun and dinner…

helping daddy.

we are still trying to move things around to make room for nursery #2 and part of that is some shelving for the game room and all of e’s toys.  saturday afternoon, we finally decided to put together the shelves we had bought the weekend before and surprise, surprise…evan needed to help!!

the next video might be my favorite so far…precious!!!
